Audioslave, consisting of Rage Against the Machine alum Tim Commerford, Brad Wilk, Tom Morello and late Soundgarden vocalist Chris Cornell, came to an end after Cornell’s death two years ago.
The band had released three albums.
Now, in an interview with Guitar World, guitarist Tom Morello says that he has tons of unheard material from the band that may eventually reach the ears of fans:
“There certainly is a chance [for it to be released]. There are no plans for that currently to be released, but there’s no impediments to being released either.
“We’ll figure it out at some point, but there’s a lot of records worth of stuff that didn’t get released. Some of the choices of what songs were on what records were almost arbitrary.
“There’s a few of my favorite Audioslave songs that just never fully saw the light of day, so hopefully they’ll come out with something.”
We can only hope that Morello and co. decide to release this unheard material.
Morello recently spoke to Lou Brutus to shoot down rumors concerning a reunion of his previous band, Rage Against the Machine.
