On January 15th, 2001, Tool released the first single from their third full length album Lateralus. “Schism” won the band a Grammy Award for Best Metal Performance in 2002, landed at number 67 on the Billboard Hot 100, was released as a DVD single in 2005, and this week in 2001 became the number 1 rock song in the country.
