They did, they actually did it. Ten years ago for April Fool’s Day the mastermind behind Nine Inch Nails, Trent Reznor said they’d be releasing a disco record. At the time it was obviously a joke and it remained a joke, until today. Strobe Light is a disco record by Nine Inch Nails. It includes gems like “Pussygrinder,” a mash-up of “Head Like a Hole” and Sheryl Crow’s “All I Wanna Do” and “Even Closer,” which mixes closer with a touch of Justin Timberlake. You can download the album from Bandcamp.
There’s also a new Twitter account, credited to Attricent Ross, that first announced the release. It’s called @SeedNine, which could be significant, since Trent’s Halo Records numbers things that way. Seed Eight was a 2014 remix EP.
