It is no secret that I am the odd-man-out when it comes to being a Metallica fan. Apparently, it’s an unwritten rule in the rock world that you have to love this band or be looked at funny… Well, look at me funny. I don’t care.
However, that doesn’t change the fact that I absolutely love this because I have been voicing the fact that Metallica should do some country music for A LONG TIME. I mean, that would be bad-ass and by the sound of these videos, I think I may be onto something.
Back in November, Metallica performed for the inaugural charity concert for the All Within My Hands Foundation Helping Hands Concert And Auction. Through this event 1.3 million dollars was raised and will be used to help Feeding America and the American Association of Community Colleges.
The band performed acoustically, and the performance will be released on a special limited edition vinyl titled “Helping Hands…Live & Acoustic at the Masonic“. Pre-orders can be found here.
