Ozzfest started as a one-off festival in California in 1996, but in 1997 it became a touring behemoth. Put on by Ozzy’s wife, Sharon, and later with the help of his son, Jack, it seemed like there would never be a year when Ozzfest didn’t happen. That changed in the late 2000s, with the last full U.S. tour happening in 2010. But Ozzfest didn’t die completely, with various destination festivals happening a handful of times around the world. After Ozzy’s death last year, the rumors have been ramped up about its possible return. Now it looks like it’s happening! The official Ozzfest social accounts are just teasing us now.
