I saw the post 9 minutes after it went live on Slipknot’s Facebook page. I was in the middle of writing this article when the post was taken down. But you can see a screenshot below.
At this time, we don’t know for sure whether or not Sid Wilson is in Slipknot but just a few moments ago, they posted the following:
“Effective immediately, Slipknot will no longer be associated with Sid Wilson. We wish him the best in his future endeavors.”
According to TMZ, Wilson was notified by the band on July 31st that he’d been kicked out of the band. At the time of the initial reports, guitarist Jim Root seemingly urged caution over the speculation, posting a message to fans saying that they shouldn’t “believe everything you read” and to wait for more information
Sid Wilson (#0) is one of Slipknots original members and has been the DJ and keyboardist for Slipknot since 1998.
