Gojira took to social media today to announce that drummer Mario Duplantier will have to miss their US Festival appearances due to an immigration issue. The band also announced that Luiji Paraventi of Paleface Swiss will step in on short notice to cover those appearances.
“Mario is dealing with an immigration issue that has made it impossible for him to travel to the US in time for our shows. Mario is heartbroken not to be here with us and has fought hard every step of the way to find a solution.
We’re so grateful for the incredible Luigi Paraventi of Paleface Swiss, who has stepped in on short notice.

The affected shows include Rock Fest today (July 16) in Cadott, Wisconsin, Upheavel (July 17) in Grand Rapids, Michigan, and Inkcarceration Music & Tattoo Festival (July 18) in Mansfield, Ohio.
