On a week where the New York Times named the song “Caramel” as the best song of 2025, it hits number one here and becomes the most-played rock song at rock radio this week. It should be noted that as the year ends, Three Days Grace did hit the number one spot, but not soon enough for this show.
In the early 2000s emo-based music took over the music world, and the band Story of the Year were at the forefront of that with the songs “Anthem of Our Dying Day” and “Until the Day I Die,” but they are back with some of the heaviest music they’ve done in years and guitarist Ryan Phillips is here via my podcast Cutter’s Rockcast to tell us all about it.
