After months of teasing and a short 7 part countdown Brian Burkheiser has finally given us the first sample of his new musical project Scatterbrain. Check out his cover of Taylor Swift’s ‘Look What You Made Me Do’ that is full of little Easter Eggs much like the pop star does with her songs and videos.
The departure of Brian from his old band I Prevail seemed at the beginning to be an amicable split but in recent months it seems more and more contentious. The video for ‘Look What You Made Me Do’ contains a part with Brian being handed some papers while a tour bus takes off without him, there are multiple instances of breaking items that allude to I Prevail songs and the song itself, though originally written by Taylor Swift and rumored to be about Kanye and the fallout between her and the Kanye team, can for sure be seen as a telling off of his old band with the way he was let go of the band. Whatever the story is behind going with this song Brian certainly seems a bit miffed about the whole deal. What’s next from here? Who knows! But he does have a full band with him and a whole lot of motivation to get out there!
