TOWN OF CENTER, Wis. — One woman is dead — another is seriously injured — following a head-on crash in Outagamie County.
The sheriff’s office says an SUV driven by a 19-year-old from Hortonville crossed the centerline along County Highway A in the town of Center around 5:55 a.m. Wednesday and struck an on-coming vehicle operated by a 47-year-old from Nichols.
The Nichols woman was pronounced dead at the scene. The Hortonville woman was taken to the hospital with serious injuries.
Alcohol is not believed to be a factor in the crash.
An investigation continues.
