Mammoth released a new song today called ‘The End’. It starts with a very Halen-like solo and goes beserk from there. The video appears to be an homage to the ‘Thriller’ video from the 80’s and features Danny Trejo, Myles Kennedy (who he is going on tour with stopping at Epic on November 23rd) and Valeri Bertarelli.
And if you’re thinking “hey that reminds me of 1996’s smash hit From Dusk Till Dawn I wonder if the guy who directed that had anything to do with this?” Well wonder no more because the Robert Rodriguez in fact wrote and directed this video! According to Wolf he’s had the idea for this song for a long time.
‘I’ve had this tapping idea for ‘The End’ since before Mammoth. I was able to fit this into this world. It’s still over the top shreddy but it’s melodic and controlled. Overall, I was doing different things on this record and I knew this was going to be a big step. Once we finished ‘The End’ it felt really special to me.’
