OSHKOSH, Wis. — UW-Oshkosh officials say their financial situation is improving.
In a letter to students and faculty, chancellor Andrew Leavitt says the budget deficit for 2024 has shrunk to $3 million. That compares to an initial estimate of $18 million back in August.
In October, Leavitt announced 200 layoffs of staff at all three UWO campuses and the ending of in-person classes at UW-Fond du Lac.
