OSHKOSH, Wis. — Oshkosh police warn of a scam involving the U.S. Postal Service.
A resident reported getting a text message from what appeared to be the USPS stating a package arrived for them but could not be delivered due to incomplete address information.
The message included instructions to click on a link or scan a QR code to confirm the address.
Scammers then asked for credit card information to pay a minimal fee to have the package delivered.
Oshkosh police note that the Postal Service will never send a message like this.
