Hard to believe In Flames have been around for over 30 years now, and that they continue to release some of the finest metal for our listening pleasure. As their latest European tour wraps up they decided to release a behind the scenes look at the making of Forgone as well as behind the scenes of the tour. When Anders and I chatted last September he had this to say about the state of humanity.
‘Oh no I would say that the pandemic and the lack of being a part of this In Flames community was extremely frustrating and just the view on the world at what happened after the pandemic how we went back to our lives almost like nothing happened. It’s even more hostile in a sense and that’s what made this album sound the way it does. Like that anger and frustration…desperation almost.’
This sentiment can be felt throughout the album, which is amazing btw and probably their best since 2008’s A Sense Of Purpose, and the documentary will definitely shed more light on that.
