For the first time in 25 years, Porno For Pyros will be heading on their first extended tour run of shows, with the dates serving as the band’s 30th anniversary tour.
According to Loudwire, the tour is being called the “Horns, Thorns En Halos” trek, and is set to begin on Sunday, October 8 in Wheatland, California. The final date of the tour will be November 20 in Austin, Texas. They will be making a stop at The Sylvee in Madison on October 23 – tickets to the show are available here.
Band members Farrell, Stephen Perkins, Peter DiStefano, and Martyn LeNoble will all be taking the stage together, with talk of them possibly working on some new music to coincide with the tour as well, according to Loudwire. Porno for Pyros played at the Belasco in Downtown Las Angeles, as well as Welcome to Rockville festival, Chicago’s Metro, and Lollapalooza last year.
The band was formed by Farrell after the end of Jane’s Addiction in 1992. A year later, they released their debut album featuring songs “Cursed Female” and “Pets,” followed by their second record titled Good God’s Urge in 1996. That album featured the single “Tahitian Moon.”
There will be a pre-sale starting on July 12 for the tour, followed by additional pre-sales throughout the week. The general public on-sale will take place July 14 at 10 AM through Live Nation.
