The new generation of metal is in good hands.
The Iowa-based metal act Vended has released the official video for their newest single “Overall”. Vended is fronted by 20 year old Griffin Taylor, son of legendary Slipknot vocalist Corey Taylor. Griffin commented on the inspiration behind the new track.
“‘Overall‘ a song about getting trapped in your own head and having your thoughts self-sabotage you. And how sometimes YOU are the only person who can help yourself get out of that headspace. ‘I salt the wound myself’ has a double meaning; you either feel the pain from bad thoughts, or you lean into it and embrace them.”
In addition to Griffin Taylor, Vended also contains the son of Slipknot percussionist M. Shawn “Clown” Crahan, Simon Crahan on the drums. In a viral video that was posted earlier this year, fans can see the Slipknot members sitting side stage for one of Vended’s performances, watching on like the proud fathers they are.
