Ryan Reynolds isn’t exactly what we’d call a traditionalist. That’s partly what makes him so great as the Marvel superhero character Deadpool. Since Disney bought Fox and got all the rights back for the X-Men characters there’s been plenty of speculation of how Marvel will introduce the X-Men into the MCU. Looks like Deadpool might be the place to do it. Ryan Reynolds as himself took to social media to make the following announcement.
Now the Deadpool that Ryan played in X-Men Origins: Wolverine was just a little different from the true comic book one we’ve gotten from Ryan in Deadpool 1&2, so it’ll be interesting how they handle that part of the story. Hugh Jackman last played Wolverine in 2016’s Logan and it was believed it’d be the last time he would. That movie though was set in the future and with the whole Multiverse thing, the possibilities are endless.
And now we have an update from Ryan and Hugh!
Here’s a breakdown that’s better explained by the experts at New Rockstars.
