Guitarist Nita Strauss has just released her newest solo single “Summer Storm.”
“Summer Storm” is Strauss’ first single since her departure from rock legend Alice Cooper’s band just months ago. Since then, Strauss has recently joined mainstream pop artist Demi Lovato’s band as the lead guitarist, aiding Lovato in their new alternative rock sound. “Summer Storm” also marks the first single from Strauss since last year’s chart-topping hit “Dead Inside,” featuring Disturbed vocalist David Draiman.
Strauss continues to work on a solo album that will include both full instrumental tracks, as well as tracks featuring renown vocalists. Strauss talked about “Summer Storm,” and how she feels it shapes her playing style.
“Instrumental music is where my heart is, and ‘Summer Storm’ might be the song I feel captures my personal style the most: cathartic, driving and emotional. While a lot of the upcoming record will have guest vocalists, I’m also so proud of the instrumental tracks and excited to officially unleash this one on the world!”
As of right now there is no set release date for Strauss’ forthcoming album. Check out the new single “Summer Storm” below!
