Hollywood Undead have drawn inspiration from their home base of Los Angeles California on both their new single “City Of The Dead,” and their newly announced album Hotel Kalifornia.
For most people looking in, Hollywood is a place where celebrities are created, fortune is made, and dreams come true. Hollywood Undead pulls back the curtain in their new single “City Of The Dead” exposing the dark side of trying to make it in Hollywood. Vocalist Johnny 3 Tears commented on the theme explored in the new single.
“’City of the Dead’ is about the dichotomy of Los Angeles where you can accomplish your dreams but also live your nightmare.”
Hollywood Undead will be joining Papa Roach, Falling In Reverse, and Bad Wolves on the 2022 Rockzilla Tour hitting major cities across the US. The tour will be making a stop in Green Bay at Capital Credit Union Park on August 14th.

“City Of The Dead” will be featured on the band’s forthcoming album Hotel Kalifornia, which is set to be released on August 12th of this year. Keeping in line with the theme of “City of the Dead,” the album serves as a juxtaposition between the “haves” and “Have nots,” shining a spotlight on issues such as homelessness and the cost of living crisis. Hotel Kalifornia is currently available for pre-order.
