Corey Taylor is best known as the frontman for metal juggernauts Slipknot, as well as his hard rock project Stone Sour. In recent years Taylor has been putting out solo songs and albums, as well as going on tour doing solo shows. There’s no telling what can happen at these solo shows.
At a recent performance over the weekend in Florida, Taylor connected with his inner child, covering the theme song to the wildly popular television show SpongeBob SquarePants. The Nickelodeon show has been around since 1999, becoming one of TV’s most well-known animated programs as it is currently running it’s 13th season. Taylor joked with the crowd before beginning the song.
“Oh God, here we go. Now, hold on a second, you guys have a part to play in this — so don’t bullshit me.”
The crowd did not disappoint, donning their sea-legs and echoing Taylor in a call-and-response performance of the track. Check out the video below!
