Yesterday afternoon (Feb 17), a studio version of “Bad Habits” by Ed Sheeran featuring Bring Me The Horizon was released on all streaming platforms. The track begins just as it does on Sheeran’s latest album, but ramps up very quickly with the introduction of heavy guitars and drums on the first chorus. Bring Me The Horizon vocalist Oli Sykes spoke on the collaboration.
“From receiving the email asking whether we’d like to open the Brits with Ed Sheeran to us chatting and bouncing ideas to rehearsing and then performing and now releasing, this has needless to say been pretty mental. But we are all about pushing the boundaries of our own and other genres, so this felt like the perfect challenge.”
Sheeran has been a fan of death metal since he was a kid, and while he doesn’t believe he could ever fully step foot into the genre, he seems very happy to collaborate with those who continue to re-invent the world of rock and metal. Razor midday host Big Jake recorded a video of himself listening to the new track, loving every second of it.
