An unexpected collaboration, with quite a remarkable sound.
Bring Me The Horizon and pop star Ed Sheeran recently performed together at the 2022 BRIT Awards, and it made for quite the spectacle. As of Feb. 10th, the performance video on Ed Sheeran’s YouTube page has garnered over 1.2 million views in just two days. Turns out, this is not the last time we will be hearing the two acts together.
Ed Sheeran revealed that he has been writing new music with Bring Me The Horizon. In a recent interview, Sheeran talked about being a real fan of the group and how amazing it was to share such a big stage with them.
“We’re going to write a song together…playing with Bring Me the Horizon was a dream. I got in touch with Oli and we were going to write together but then the pandemic happened so we’re in touch – I’ve been a fan for a long time.”
Sheeran has been a fan of death metal since he was a kid, and while he doesn’t believe he could ever fully step foot into the genre, he seems very happy to collaborate with those who continue to re-invent the world of rock and metal. Check out the full performance at the BRIT Awards below!
