Metallica is one of the most well-known bands in history and probably the most well-known metal band of all time. When Metallica tours it’s a spectacle, it’s special and they play giant arenas and football stadiums when they do. It’s not unlike Metallica though to just randomly play some club in their hometown of San Fransico for special occasions or just to warm up for a tour. Last week they did just that, but surprise they just played the Metro in Chicago. This is the post that Metallica put on social media.
“THAT was way too much fun last week as we finally played in front of real live fans for the first time in over two years in our hometown of San Francisco, so why not do it again?? This time we’re in Chicago and we’ll be hitting the stage at the storied Metro on Clark Street tonight… our first time back there since 1983!!”
Metallica are heading this weekend’s Louder Than Life festival in Kentucky.
