The number of new coronavirus cases in Wisconsin is approaching six-thousand a day. The state Department of Health Services reports a single-day record of 5,935 positive tests on Wednesday–breaking the record set just yesterday. Secretary Andrea Palm says all 72-counties have “very high” coronavirus activity–but that doesn’t even describe it accurately.
There were another 54 COVID-related deaths today–bringing that total to 2,156. Calumet, Waupaca, and Shawano Counties each reported four deaths. Outagamie, Winnebago, and Brown Counties each had one death.
Brown County had 408 new cases. Outagamie County added 193. Winnebago County saw 136-cases–while Calumet County added 37.
