Homeowners in Green Bay could see an increase in property taxes.
Mayor Eric Genrich is blaming the pandemic for the three percent increase he’s proposing. A property valued at $150,000 would see a $43.50 increase. He says property owners saw a 3.2 percent increase on their city tax bills this year.
His proposed $112.4 million budget also adds two police officers and one firefighter.
The city’s Joint Finance Committee will take up the proposal on Monday. It will go to the city council for approval on November 10th.
