The De Pere public school district is canceling some classes today as they prepare for online learning for two weeks.
Officials sent a letter to parents saying a large number of students and staff need to be quarantined because of coronavirus. The letter also mentioned community spread in Brown County and the stress on local hospitals. Middle and high school classes are canceled today. Online classes start on Monday. Virtual learning starts on Tuesday for elementary and intermediate students. The district hopes to get back to a regular routine on October 12th.
