Biffly Clyro selected the Cardi B/Megan Thee Stallion collabration, “WAP”, as one of their selected performances during a recent BBC Radio 1 session. Frontman Simon Neil went with a more rap styled delivery as the band slowly made the song a little more a rock sounding.
They are calling their version “WAB,” to help take care of any profanity issues that would have prevented them from performing the song on TV. Instead they swapped out the female anatomy mention with their own band name “Biffy,” using the lyrics “I said, certified freak/ Seven days a week/ If you’re not wet as Biffy / Then your riffin’ game weak“.
Biffy Clyro was on the BBC Radio 1 program to promoted their latest album, A Celebration of Endings, which was released last month. They have already released “Instant History,” “Tiny Indoor Fireworks” and “End Of” off the album so far. All three songs can be heard below.
