Asking Alexandria released an acoustic version of their song “Antisocialist“. The original version of the song is off the band’s latest album, Like A House On Fire. Asking Alexandria guitarist Ben Bruce said they didn’t just want to do a normal acoustic version for “Antisocialist (Unplugged)”:
“Over the years we have been known to release many acoustic versions of our songs from a number of albums. ‘Antisocialist‘ has rapidly become our most successful active rock single of our entire career so we wanted to do something special.
Instead of just another “acoustic version” of a song we decided to really strip this one back and try and recreate the song as an unplugged version that lives and breathes its own identity. An unplugged, vulnerable rendition of the song that hopefully allows people to feel like they are in the room with the band whilst we play it.
To all of our fans, old and new, we truly hope you enjoy this unique version of ‘Antisocialist‘ as much as we do. We love you.”
In May, Asking Alexandria released, “House On Fire”, off of their sixth studio album Like A House On Fire. The video for “House On Fire”, which can be seen below, includes shots of the band members while in isolation due to COVID-19. The song is the fifth track to be released off of Like A House On Fire.
It was also recently announced that Asking Alexandria’s Danny Worsnop has been cast in the game Of Bird And Cage. The Asking Alexandria frontman will voice Ari, who Worsnop describes as a “bad buy”. Several other musicians have been cast in the game which is described as a music album that is a story-driven video game that tells a modern, dark version of Beauty and the Beast.
