Asking Alexandria’s Danny Worsnop has been cast in the game Of Bird And Cage which is currently being developed by Capricia Productions. The Asking Alexandria frontman lends his voice for character, Ari, who Worsnop describes as a “bad buy”. In the game, Ari is the boyfriend of the protagonist Gitta, who is voiced by Kobra Paige from Kobra And The Lotus.
Worsnop’s vocal parts have already been recorded for the game and says it is a unique game and he enjoyed being part of it.
“We’ve had a lot of fun making this — it’s an entirely new approach, an entirely new concept, and a way to absorb the video game platform that I believe you guys are going to enjoy. There are a lot of incredible other musicians who’ve been involved in the casting, the creation, the scoring, and the performance within this video game and I would just want to say thank you to all of them who’ve been involved, and thank you to everyone who has created Of Bird And Cage for having me on board.”
Of Bird And Cage is a music album that has been fully produced as a story-driven video game featuring some of today’s leading rock/metal artists telling a modern, dark version of Beauty and the Beast.
The games includes other musicians like Ron “Bumblefoot” Thal (ex-Guns N’ Roses), Rob van der Loo (Epica), Ruud Jolie (Within Temptation), Mike LePond (Symphony X), and Rocky Gray (Living Sacrifice, ex-Evanescence).
No Release date has been announce for Of Bird And Cage yet but the developers have said they plan on releasing it soon, no later than early 2021.
Danny Worsnop and Asking Alexandria have released several singles over the past few months, plus last month Worsnop released a cover of Amy Winehouse’s “Back To Black”, which can be seen below.
Asking Alexandria released their new album, Like A House On Fire on May 15th with Sumerian Records. Guitarist Ben Bruce said the distribution company wanted to postpone the upcoming album because no physical product would be available due to the coronavirus outbreak, but the band insisted on keeping the original release date.
