For the second straight day, the percentage of new positive coronavirus tests went down.
The state is reporting 2.4 percent came back positive, and that’s down from 2.8 percent yesterday, and 3.6 percent Thursday. Wednesday’s total was 2.8 percent.
There are 272 new confirmed cases in Wisconsin, and a total of 22,518.
The state has 5,595 active cases, and that’s 178 fewer than yesterday. Seventy-two percent of confirmed cases have recovered.
Two more people died, bringing the statewide total for confirmed deaths to 691.
Hospitals are reporting 285 COVID-19 patients statewide, and that’s two fewer than yesterday. Another 167 are awaiting test results, and that’s down by two. The statewide hospitalization rate for confirmed cases is 13 percent.
Winnebago County has 21 new cases, and 506 overall.
Brown has 16 more, and a total of 2,458. Outagamie added 13, and now has 331.
Fond du Lac has six new ones, for 259. Waupaca has five more, and 71 overall.
Calumet added two, for 86. Oconto has one more, and a total of 44.
