Organizers of Appleton’s Flag Day Parade are asking people to decorate their homes and yards, and businesses to do the same.
The parade was supposed to be on Saturday, June 13th.
Corey Otis of the parade committee says they’d like to see patriotic displays around the city. He hopes people will still recognize and honor the flag, even though they had to cancel the parade because of coronavirus.
Otis says they’re encouraging family and friends to get together, safely and with social distancing guidelines, on June 13th to celebrate Flag Day.
There will also be a Flag Day program that will be on WHBY’s Facebook page at 7 p.m. that Saturday.
