A state agency will provide grants to some small businesses around Wisconsin, and they can start applying later this month.
Secretary Missy Hughes of the Wisconsin Economic Development Corporation wants to hand out $2,500 to 30,000 companies. She tells Focus Fox Valley they’re hoping it will help get the businesses rolling again. She understands that it’s not a lot of money, but it’s a grant, and not a loan.
The state will use $75 million from the federal stimulus package.
Companies need to have 20 or fewer full-time workers, and less than $1 million in annual revenues.
The application process opens Monday, June 15th, and it runs through June 21st.
