The percentage of new positive coronavirus tests increased, while the number of results coming in plummeted.
The state is reporting 3.9 percent were positive. That’s up from 2.3 percent yesterday, and lower than the 5.3 percent last Friday and Saturday.
Only 3,632 test results were returned, and that’s the fewest since May 11th. The numbers were in the 10,000 range over much of the past week.
There are now 18,543 confirmed COVID-19 cases in the state. That’s 140 more than yesterday. That’s the smallest daily increase in at least one month.
The state is reporting 595 confirmed deaths around Wisconsin, and that’s three more.
Winnebago County added five cases, and now has 249. Outagamie has three more, and a total of 230.
Five counties each have one new case. Brown County is up to 2,320, Fond du Lac 214, Calumet 77, Shawano 48, and Waupaca 42.
The statewide hospitalization rate for confirmed cases is 14 percent. The statewide death rate is three percent.
Sixty-four percent of confirmed cases in Wisconsin have recovered, and that’s a one percent increase.
