The Oshkosh School District is giving its high school seniors some hope for a traditional graduation ceremony.
Families are getting “save the date” mailings this week for a possible in-person event on July 28th or 29th.
Superintendent Vickie Cartwright says a lot of people would have to sign off on the ceremony, starting with the Winnebago County Health Department. She says the district’s legal team and insurance carrier would also be involved.
The district hasn’t proposed a site for an in-person ceremony yet.
Oshkosh West will hold its virtual graduation ceremony on Monday, and Oshkosh North’s is Wednesday.
The three Appleton public high schools held their virtual ceremonies last night.
