Pictures and videos were making the rounds of some people not social distancing over the Memorial Day weekend.
Deputy Secretary Julie Willems Van Dijk of the Department of Health Services says they’ve seen them too, and she hopes no one in them had COVID-19. She says they’ll keep monitoring in the next weeks to come, to see if there’s an upsurge from the holiday.
Willems Van Dijk says they’ll have to continually track impacts of holidays and large events, until there’s a coronavirus vaccine.
It was busy again in Lake Geneva, where people from Illinois poured into the town. Illinois is still under a “safer at home” order.
