When someone tests positive for coronavirus in Appleton, public health nurses for the city reach out during the isolation process.
Health Officer Kurt Eggebrecht says they check in every day, to see how they’re doing, and making sure they’re monitoring their health.
He says the nurses work through the contact tracing process, as well, to see if they’ve had close contact with anyone. Eggebrecht stresses it’s important to find out where they work, and where they go during the day, to help identify potential outbreaks.
The city is reporting there have been 88 confirmed cases in Appleton. Fifty-three are in isolation, and 32 have recovered.
