There were legal concerns about local counties putting “safer at home” orders in place, but the attorney for Brown County says they still have power to take action to deal with coronavirus.
Corporation Counsel David Hemery says they can go to court to quarantine someone with the virus, if necessary. He says they can also force businesses or other groups to follow rules to prevent the spread of COVID-19.
Hemery was concerned the county-wide “safer at home” order that was dropped last week, was too broad.
