Appleton’s Mile of Music festival is cancelled.
The event that draws tens of thousands to the downtown was scheduled for July 30-August 2.
Co-founder Dave Willems says they considered about a dozen alternatives, including postponing the festival, holding a scaled-back version if it would’ve been allowed, and doing a virtual festival. He says they couldn’t justify the cost or commitment that would be needed.
They decided to turn their attention to 2021, and holding the event from August 5-8.
