May is Foster Care Month and we’re hearing from two families who have opened their hearts and their homes to children through the Children’s Wisconsin Treatment Foster Care Program. Anna Lesperance and Wendy and Erik Anderson have welcomed nearly 20 children to their homes between the two families. They’re sharing what led them to foster care, what the experience has been like and why families should consider fostering.
Children’s Wisconsin of the Fox Valley is still actively accepting applications and licensing Treatment Foster Care homes. Please contact Megan Usoh at (920) 383-1475 or visit www.childrenswi.org/tfc for more information or to schedule a virtual information session.
Some summer activities will look a bit different in Downtown Appleton. We’re joined by Lynn Schemm, with Appleton Downtown Inc. to talk about the Downtown Farmer’s Market and the Heid Summer Concert Series adaptations.
It’s National Police Week and we’re hearing from Officer Meghan Cash with the Appleton Police Department. Officer Cash tells us about how they’re honoring fallen officers and what challenges officers face too. Link to the APD Facebook page.
