A correctional officer in the Brown County jail tested positive for coronavirus.
The Sheriff’s Department reports the person was using proper protective equipment, while having contact with other staff and inmates.
Another jail employee in close contact with the officer is in quarantine, and the department is waiting for test results.
The officer lives with a deputy, and that person is also in quarantine. So are three more deputies, because they had close contact with the deputy.
None of the four deputies work in the jail, and they’re also being tested.
