The Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Department wants to make sure local food pantries are stocked.
The department will collect non-perishable food and money, starting next Monday, and running through May 18th.
Donna Whitty of the department’s Benevolent Association says they’re fortunate enough to have a job and a paycheck, but a lot of people in the community are unemployed. She says they thought it was a small way for them to give back.
Collection bins will be located at the Sheriff’s department, highway department, and on the first floor of the City-County Building.
All donations will be divided evenly between the pantries.
