The state’s Democrat in the U.S. Senate thinks the federal government should be doing more for farmers.
Sen. Tammy Baldwin of Madison says small farms are small businesses, and they should be able to qualify for the Paycheck Protection Program. She says many of them are hanging on by a thread right now.
The Small Business Administration now says agriculture businesses will be eligible for disaster loans.
