In 1995, a rock supergroup was created with guitarist Mike McCready of Pearl Jam, lead singer Layne Staley of Alice in Chains, drummer Barrett Martin of Screaming Trees and bassist John Baker Saunders. The bad released only one album titled Above in August of 1995. The first single, “River of Deceit” was released a few months before the album and made its way to the number 1 spot this week in 1995.
