The coronavirus pandemic is making it difficult for disabled people to get their normal care.
Lisa Pugh of the Survival Coalition of Wisconsin says they reached out to more than 500 people and they’re not receiving the same services. She says social distancing is impossible.
The coalition found almost 40 percent of people now have family providing some or all of their daily care.
Community and home health care workers have extremely limited access to personal protective equipment, because they aren’t considered front-line health care providers.
