A consumer protection agency is hearing complaints from people trying to buy masks online.
Susan Bach of the Better Business Bureau’s office in Appleton says some orders are taking a long time to arrive, and the masks aren’t what they were supposed to be.
Bach says it’s important to take a few minutes to do some research on the seller. She recommends buying from a reputable company.
The Better Business Bureau is also hearing about puppy scams. Some people are being told they need to pay extra for a crate or insurance to have a pet shipped. They’re asking for a payment, through a gift card or mobile banking.
Officials are recommending people look to adopt from a local shelter.
