Members of the Wisconsin National Guard will be helping expand testing for coronavirus across the state.
Major General Paul Knapp says they’re activating about 225 people to set up eight more “testing teams.” They’ll join three others that are already collecting samples.
The plan by Governor Evers to reopen the state also calls for adding more contact tracing. Knapp says guard members could also be involved with that.
He reports about 30 guard members are working in a call center to notify people, if they test positive for COVID-19.
