A health expert thinks COVID-19 could be with us for a long time.
Dr. Ashok Rai is the president of Prevea Health and he believes the virus will continue to surge at different times. He tells Action 2 News a second wave is possible in the fall or winter.
Rai is concerned that it will come at the same time as the normal flu season, and that some people could get both viruses together. He says even having cases of each illness could cause problems for hospitals.
He thinks health care providers will have to work on their plans between now and then. He says it will be very important for people to get a flu shot.
