An analyst thinks Democrats could be making a mistake, if they scrap their national convention in Milwaukee this summer.
Presumptive nominee Joe Biden and several other former party leaders are saying a virtual event should be held instead.
But CBS News Political Consultant Leonard Steinhorn tells Dave Edwards on AM Fox Valley they would be passing up major exposure. He says without that opportunity to speak to the country, and show the party’s enthusiasm, it could hurt Biden’s campaign more than President Trump’s.
Some analysts see the Milwaukee organizing committee laying off half of its staff this week as a sign that the city won’t be hosting the convention in August.
