The head of Appleton’s health department is leading the city’s response to COVID-19.
Kurt Eggebrecht says he’s been talking with Mayor-elect Jake Woodford and he’s aware of what the city has been doing through its emergency operations center.
Eggebrecht announced in February that he’s planning to retire in June. He says he’s willing to stay on to get through the pandemic if necessary.
