The state Assembly approved a coronavirus response bill, and it’s now headed to the Senate tomorrow.
About half of lawmakers participated remotely. They passed the bill on a 97-2 vote.
It largely ensures that Wisconsin can receive the $2.3 billion coming to the state, under the federal stimulus bill. That means there would be higher Medicaid payments, and unemployment benefits.
The bill would also would waive the state’s one-week waiting period to receive unemployment.
